If you're written a play and are looking to test it out - then this is the place for you. Come and play with a bunch of like-minded artists and learn from those around you.
A group of talented actors will read your play in a way that you’ve never seen or dreamt about before. Working with our friends over at MKA in Melbourne, Playgroup is sure to deliver some wonderful new works and provide a chance to get out of your chairs and play.
But wait, there’s more! Each event will have a section dedicated to poetry so you can try them out on a crowd, rather than your English teacher and/or pets. With popcorn and live music, what more could you want from an evening?
Playgroup is a creative classroom environment for artists to show + tell.
SHOW: A chance for you to show a scene or idea in a project you are currently working on and seek feedback and advice.
TELL: A chance to chat about a about a project you are starting and what you are looking for (a writer, director, musician, etc.)
Our first playgroup was held at the lovely Blue Room Theatre with their kind support. Will O'Mahony was our first school master and we can wait to see what 2016 has in store for this event.
