Living in the Shadows
A Forum Theatre Project
'Living in The Shadows' is our journey to being a catalyst for discussion and giving a voice to those who haven’t had their story told. Using internationally recognised Forum Theatre as a best practice approach, and an exciting new form of theatre for WA, this project aims to lead a discussion in supporting people who are living with homelessness.
“We have come dangerously close to accepting the homeless situation as a problem that we just can't solve”
‘Living In The Shadows’ is our chance to say it isn’t too hard, and that we won’t give up.
The show will be devised by a collaboration of professional actors and people living with homelessness, culminating in a Forum Theatre, interactive, discussion based performance. A story of real people facing adversity and their struggle to get through each day.
The Forum Theatre model provides it’s audience the chance to join the discussion and engage as a community to create options for social change. We invite you to join us in this conversation, help us generate dialogue and maybe even get up on stage with us.
'Living in the Shadows' is proudly presented with Anglecare WA, RUAH, St Bartholomew's, and Street Smugglers as a part of Homelessness week in 2017.
